Sidewalks are for walking.

7/9
birthday party
7/10
Ran after work up to 59th then through Central Park to
72nd St. Digi says 4.45 miles 45 minutes.

It's really hard to run in the city. The sidewalks are full of people, people with bags, people with bicycles, people with strollers, people with children and strollers and tourists. Tourists stand still at odd moments.

Traffic lights are programed to turn red as I approach an intersection.

Home again

Found a trail in Ft. Tryon Park that I had walked before, very uphill. I'm going to have to work out a route amongst all the pathways, trying to find ways that are not too much downhill. Right knee does not like down hill.

It keeps you running (or walking)

All in all I got what I wanted from the vacation 'runs'. I got started or restarted.

I always miss the ocean. I didn't even swim this year, but I just like being there.

The quaintness will raise your blood sugar.

Back to the city tomorrow. Short reports follow:
7/2
Walked 1 mile - no soreness
7/3
walked about an hour.
