AT THE EXCHANGE

Um,I got the rain you ordered; did you get my mostly-sunny?
There must be a place to exchange such gifts;
a gathering of women with windblown hair and becalmed sailors;
brides with soggy sunsets
hoping to find someone
willing to swap for some clear air
 if they throw in a shore dinner.

Moisture

There is a constant mist made of little drops of kindness
 falling on us so lightly
that we are unaware of it
as we swim in the oceans
made thus far by this humanity,
 one touch, one smile, one motion at a time.

Hesitation- You fear cracking an egg will make a mess.
Waiting: the breads are in the oven.
